How to Flush the Cavity Wand

  1. When you finish spraying, leave the wand attached to the can.
  2. Turn the Cavity Coater Aerosol can upside down.
  3. Spray for 10 seconds to flush the remaining coating out of the wand.
  4. Wipe the outside of the wand with a rag lightly dampened with mineral spirits and store it for the next job.

How to Use the Cavity Wand

  1. Shake the Cavity Coater Aerosol extremely well.
  2. Attach the wand by gently pushing its spray tip onto the can and giving it a slight twist as you push.
  3. Insert the wand into the cavity through a 1/4 inch hole. An existing drain or assembly hole usually works.
  4. Depress the spray tip and spray as you pull the wand out, at about 2 inches per second. Spray on the way out only.
  5. Repeat as needed for complete coverage. The aerosol and wand work best between 70 and 80 degrees F.

The tip sprays 360 degrees around the wand and also out of the front, so a single pass coats the full inside of the cavity. The Cavity Coater directions cover the full process.

Buying a Cavity Wand

The Cavity Wand is sold on its own and with Cavity Coater as a kit: Aerosol plus Cavity Wand, or 3 Aerosol Cans plus 1 Cavity Wand. Because the wand is reusable, one wand covers several cans. For bulk quart and gallon work, see spraying Cavity Coater with a Schutz gun.
