Yes. One gallon of KBS Bed Liner coats a full truck bed up to 8 feet long with 2 coats. KBS Bed Liner covers up to 250 square feet per gallon at 2 coats, and it performs best at 2 to 3 coats: a thin first coat, then slightly heavier coats.

KBS Bed Liner Coverage: Quick Facts

Coverage: up to 250 sq. ft. per gallon at 2 coats
Full 8 ft bed: one gallon at 2 coats
Recommended coats: 2 to 3, thin first coat
Full cure: 72 hours before loading
Do not thin KBS Bed Liner to stretch it. Thinning is not recommended: thinner raises the VOC content and can change how the coating performs. A thin first coat, not a thinned product, is what makes the gallon go further.

How Far One Gallon Goes

The 250 square foot figure is theoretical coverage at 2 coats. Heavy texture and rough surfaces lower it. A full truck bed up to 8 feet long takes one gallon at 2 coats. A third coat for maximum durability uses more material than that, so plan extra for a 3 coat bed. If you want to coat more than the bed, such as fenders, rails or a trailer deck, add that area and figure it at up to 250 square feet per gallon at 2 coats. KBS Bed Liner is sold by the gallon.

Getting Full Coverage From the Gallon

Scuff the bed with medium grit sandpaper or a scouring pad, blow out the dust with clean air, and wash it with KBS Klean mixed 5 parts hot water to 1 part KBS Klean. Let it dry completely: the bed must be clean, bone dry, non-glossy and free of rust or flaking paint. Mix KBS Bed Liner before use, with a drill mixer if possible. Cut in seams, corners and hard to reach places with a 3-inch rough foam roller, then roll or spray from the front of the bed toward the back, between 50F and 90F. For the ultimate rust protection, treat bare metal with the KBS 3-Step Rust Prevention System and RustSeal first. Full steps are in the KBS Bed Liner directions.

Only Touching Up a Worn Liner?

If the bed already has a sound liner and only a few spots are worn through, a gallon may be more than the job needs. KBS Bed Renu is a 15 oz. aerosol that covers up to 30 square feet with no gun, compressor or mixing, made for recoating worn bedliner, bumpers, fender flares and running boards.

KBS Bed Liner protects truck beds first, but the same polyurethane coating works on cars, wheels, fleet vehicles, snow plows, tractors, construction machinery and trailer decks, fenders and ramps.
